Have you wanted to add more video content to your business’s social media but don’t know where to start?
We get it.
It can be difficult not to get stuck in a loop of lack of motivation or a pit of creative despair so you don’t hit the little red record button.
(Okay, that last bit may seem slightly dramatic, but IYKYK.)
We are here to help!
Implementing B-roll footage into your reel strategy/content is the way to do this. B-roll is supplementary video footage that provides additional context, enhances storytelling, and adds visual interest to videos.
If you need help deciding what to film or are stuck on the caption for your future video content, we have a challenge for you!
We have compiled a list of shots you can film to create a “Day in the Life” B-roll reel for you and your business!
This will give you content to create a “Spend a Day with me—the human that owns this business” post if you want to make one. It will also give you extra content when caption inspiration strikes you!
Think of this as a “Choose Your Own Adventure” reel (like those books from the 90s)! Feel free to grab one or more shots from each section below to film! And if this list makes you think of other shots, WE LOVE IT!
Here are a few quick tips before you get started:
- Start a timer and batch film portions together.
- Film vertically on your phone using the back camera for better footage quality.
- Use a tripod or gooseneck for stability.
- Film longer than you want to! It may feel awkward, but you will have more footage to edit together.
