People often ask about the tools we use to run our social media and email marketing smoothly. So, I thought I’d share our top picks! We rely on these tools daily—and we’re sharing them, not because we’re affiliates, but because we genuinely love them.
Whether you’re running an agency or managing your own channels, these tools make the work easier and more effective. And trust me, after 6 years in the biz, we’ve tried a TON of tools and these come out on top.
Social Schedulers: We swear by our software, Stratosphere, for our agency-level needs. It offers the most detailed reporting we’ve ever seen, down to analyzing which hashtags work best. It’s worth it if you’re managing several accounts, but if you’re just getting started or need a free option, Later.com is a solid choice for scheduling your posts.
Graphic Design: No surprise here—Canva is our go-to for graphic design. The pro version is a game-changer since it allows us to upload our branding (and our clients), saving us time by keeping colors and fonts ready to go. Canva has fantastic stock image options, but we also love using Envato Elements. Envato is perfect when we want something a bit more unique and original.
Email Service Providers: To manage email marketing, we recommend Mailerlite. It’s free for quite a while and has pretty decent automation and segmentation tools, making it a great starting point. That being said, we have clients with 25K+ subscribers who still love it. Whatever you do… stay away from Mailchimp
Brainstorming: When I need to generate ideas, I turn to ChatGPT. It’s become a fast favorite on our team for brainstorming content ideas, outlines, and solutions. We don’t rely on it to do our work because we always want to have a human touch, but it helps us when we are working through creative blocks.
Lead Generation: Obviously, we manage our lead generation ads via the Meta Ads platform, but our go-to tool for automatically adding leads to your email list is Zapier. Honestly, Zapier does so much more, but this integration is what we rely on the most.
Reels Editing: We use CapCut for video editing, especially reels. It’s perfect for cutting out extra breaths (and those pesky “ums”) and adding on-screen captions to keep the content engaging for viewers who might be watching on silent.
Social Media Automation: We love using ManyChat to automate social media responses. While some people find it annoying, it makes life easier, and it’s become common enough that users aren’t surprised by it. Bonus—it helps boost engagement!
There’s something on this list for everyone – whether you’re a freelancer or building an agency. Like I said earlier, we’re not affiliated with any of them, so you can be sure these recommendations come purely from our experience and love for the platforms. We’ve settled on these tools after experimenting with hundreds of them. We’re hoping this list helps save you the time we spent exploring different options! Give them a try—you might just find your new go-to!
