Julia began Stratos to create a work environment that helped both clients and employees design lives that they enjoy. On the client side, she helps business owners make sure each of their marketing strategies work together to produce the results and revenue they want. On the employee side, she leads the team as we navigate the challenges and joys of working remotely.

The Stratos Story
In 2018, I left my full-time job at a non-profit with three month’s of savings and hope that someone might take a chance on hiring me for my social media skills. You see…up until that point, as the youngest person on the staff, I was always nominated to manage the organization’s social media. Over the years, I learned and implemented different strategies. At one point, I wrote a Giving Tuesday campaign for a colleague’s non-profit; they raised $4k in a day!
Back to Stratos…After 6 months of building up my clients as a freelancer, I needed help and asked Ryann, our Senior Content Coordinator, if she would want to help. Six months after that, we were inviting Kelsey and Savannah to join us. As our team grew, I decided that I couldn’t keep calling the business Julia Block Marketing Solutions since our whole team was involved in creating beautiful client work. So in 2020, the business became Stratos Creative Marketing.
When I started this business, it was because I wanted freedom. Freedom to travel. Freedom from toxic work environments. Freedom to be creative. Freedom to work on things I enjoyed. Over the past years, I’ve been able to experience it. But even better, we now have a staff of over 10 people who are able to as well. I never expected to grow like this, but it’s been one of the most satisfying and joyful parts of all the hard work.
