Theatre Major

The Problem:

Theatre Major, an educational consulting company catering to aspiring theatre majors in the DC Metro Area, recognized the lack of support available to students aspiring to major in theatre in college and wanted to fill the gap. They had narrowed down their target audience and had the expertise to provide important thought leadership in this area but needed help reaching them on social media and then continuing to nurture them.

Theatre Major was passionate about supporting college students majoring in theatre and knew they wanted to provide followers with education and engagement while growing their following. They just needed guidance to help students see their posts and a system for nurturing this audience on an ongoing basis.

The Solution:

Stratos Creative Marketing leveraged the Theatre Major team’s expertise and background to create content buckets that would speak directly to their niche audience. These content buckets informed social media posts, emails, and even ads so that their marketing was highly relevant to their followers. We developed a system including two different ad campaigns, social media posts, and a monthly email, which worked together to increase their following and engagement.

The Success :

Through the system developed, Theatre Major’s impressions and reach on their ads averaged 31,579 and 27,319, respectively, in the last six months working together. New leads and their previous followers were nurtured through regular and engaging social media content and emails. Theatre Major even gained 69 followers organically in four months.

Their social media content resonated with their followers, as evidenced by 3,359 interactions on Instagram and Facebook. Finally, their emails had a 59.2% open rate and a 4.9% click rate, both higher than the industry averages in education! Theatre Major was providing educational and engaging content that spoke to their ideal client while being able to focus most of their energy on direct counseling and guidance of their students. Their marketing strategy worked toward their goals, removing the marketing burden from their shoulders so that they could engage directly with students.
